 Cardiac Arrest 

Cardiac arrest occurs when heart suddenly unexpectedly stop's pumping blood and stop's flowing to brain and other vital organ caused by certain type of arhythmics which prevent heart from pumping blood .IT's Medical emergency 9 out of 10 die outside of hospital within minutes ,It is common cause of death 

*Cardiac arrest causes about 300,000 to 450,000 death's in united state each year 

*Cardiac arrest cause about half of death linked with heart attack and stroke 

The emergency treatment for sudden cardiac arrest includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)  and shocks to the heart with device called Automated external defibrillator (AED) survival is possible with fast appropriate medical care sudden cardiac arrest isn't the same as heart attack 



Symptoms 

*Sudden collapse 

*No pulse 

*No Breathing 

*Loss of Consciousness 


sometimes other symptoms occurs before sudden cardiac arrest 

*Chest discomfort 

*Shortness of Breath  

*Weakness 

*Fast breathing ,fluttering 

But sudden occurs with no warning!

Causes 

*Scarring of heart tissue 

*Thickened heart muscles 

*Heart Medication 

*Electrical abnormalities 

*Blood vessel Abnormalities 

*Recreational drug use 

How to do CPR

CPR if the person isn't breathing Push harder and fast on the person's chest-About 100 to 200 Pushes a minutes If you've been trained in CPR check the person's airway They deliver rescue breath after every 30 Compressions

If you haven't been trained ,just continue chest Compressions , Allow the chest to rise completely between compressions . Keep doing this until an AED (Automated External Defibocilllators) is available OR emergency workers arrives
